Getting a Six Sigma green belt certification for pre-college business intern?

Postby Dev » Sun Feb 28, 2010 7:39 pm

I"m 17 year old going into senior year and have an intership at a distribution company. The person I work for wants me to look into getting a green belt six sigma certification, and see if thats even possible for someone at that level. I have a very basic knowledge of business, nothing I would consider extensive, but I do well and school and can generally learn just about anything I try if I apply myself. Will I be able to do this?

If you're truly willing to apply yourself to anything, then yes, you can definitely do it. Six Sigma is nothing more than a method of Quality Control, which is nothing more than an application of statistics. If you can effectively learn, understand, and apply fundamental statistical concepts, then Six Sigma should be a breeze.
