Probably. Since as a new business you will have no payment history, creditors will probably look at your personal history when deciding whether to carry you as an account. If you need a loan to get the business off the ground, your personal history will count even moreso.

If the new business is incorporated, then techinically no.
However, since most new businesses have no credit history, suppliers will be asking for payment in advance for products purchased, and any leases will require co-signing by you personally, then your credit history will be involved.
